Ok, I recently had some money fall in my lap. Now I will be building even another rig.

Can someone recommend me a good SLI board ? I dont care if it is AMD or Intel.

I haven't chose a cpu yet. Will figure that out once I decide on a motherboard. Building this weekend coming.

I didn't know the Gigabyte UD4 could run SLI. Thought it was Crossfire only. Im going with the UD4.

None of those AMD 870 / 890FX motherboards support SLI, only Crossfire.

SLI used to be a nVidia chipset specific feature on AMD boards but since P55 / X58 has been a fixture on Intel boards.

In fact, there are only 2 modern AMD nVidia chipset motherboards which support SLI

ASUS M4N98TD EVO

and the

MSI NF980-G65

both of which support DDR3. You can still find some older nForce 750A boards as well.

Is there much of a difference from the UD4 to the UD3P ? Socket 1155 of course.

UD3P............UD4
