recommend me a good online game to play with freinds

heres the deal its about 4 of us that game 2 or 3 nights a week for a few hours nothign hard core

we have been playing soldier of fortune 2 and enjoy it but id like to try other games as this one is getting old ...... i dont think wed be into warcraft type games though..just soemthign easy and mindless liek soldier of fortune 2

so any recommendations
 
Can always play an MMORPG if you're in to that. They are much more fun when you have a dedicated group of people that you can play with on specific days and times. EQ is the most popular one by far...

 
Serious Sam 2. It rocks! It's a very colorful, fast paced shooter with the sophistication of Duke Nukem.
 
have you done classic multiplayer gaming yet? It's always good to go retro

like duke nukem 3d two words: pipe bomb.
doom is good for a few minutes or so
counter-strike isn't really retro
Enemy territory is good
Red Faction Multiplayer ROXORS...deformable terrain + rocket launcher = much cursing and hilarity.
AvP is a good multiplayer.

or you could do co-op with games like system shock 2
SWAT3 is kinda complicated.

I hear good things about halo multiplayer on PC.

somehow i dont think theyd be into MMORPGs. They are more into instant action, basically who can beat or kill who the most i guess...

I would recommend any FPS games that are decent. BF1942 would be a blast for you 4, althought the maps could be too big for just 4 people.

UT series would be the best choice, followed by Serious Sam series

i see that in UT2K4 you will be able to drive vehicles can you do this in UT2K3?
 
Eve Online, its PERFECT for a group of friends to waste time 😀

but thats not easy or mindless so yeah go with battlefield instead 😛
 
MOH is a really good single player game, but I haven't heard spectacular things about the multiplayer side. Battlefield 1942 single player is more of an introduction to the game. There IS a campaign mode, but it's kinda stupid. Multiplayer BF1942 is really a lot of fun. Especially if someone has a Ventrilo or Teamspeak server. 😀

Raven Shield. Very intense, lots of fun with 4 people if you play the right maps. Plus you don't need to put a lot of time in to have fun.

More people need to play this game, it rocks.
