Recommend me a Good LCD TV (42-50in) for around $1500

I'm looking for recommendations for an LCD TV 42in or bigger for a 12x18 room.
Viewing distance is about 7ft.

It'll be used with Direct TV and for dvd movies. No gaming.

Why not go for a Panny 42px60u which you can easily get for around $1200 and it will have PQ better than any 42" 720p LCD. Heck if you look hard enough and stretch your budget a little you could even get a 50px60u for about 1600-1700
 
Everybody recommends the westinghouses... I bought one from Best buy for Xmas.

I am impressed, but not blown away. Samsungs/sharps/sonys all are better.
 
..40" Sony Bravia at costco for 1649.00 aprox. they have a 46" Bravia too. don't recall the price.
