I'm in the process of hunting down a good KVM switch that I can use my USB (Logitech G5) mouse and (Logitech G15) keyboard on. With so many out there, I haven't the slightest which to pick.

I'd like to avoid the PS2 input ones if I can, because I just prefer my input devices to be USB connections.

PS. I'm not sure about this, but since I have an extra LCD for the other PC - would I have to plug them in to the KVM switch? Can I just have two screens running separately, but using the same input?

It costs much less and works better to use PS/2 on the input to a KVM - you can adapt the outputs of the KVM if necessary using the inexpensive PS/2 to USB adapters. Didn't the Logitech input devices come with PS/2 adapters? Generally if you get USB in KVMs, they are also USB out - which is not easily converted to PS/2. PS/2 to USB = Easy, USB to PS/2 = HARD!

I just bought the IOGEAR 2 Port USB KVM switch (GCS632U) this week.
Buy.com

It is only $48.87 and it works flawlessly!! It uses the scroll lock key to switch between computers. I love it!

As a bonus, it also has audio input to share the audio!! Great product!
