My boss's birthday is coming up and he could really use a nice little scale to get the weight of things he ships. Any good choices under $100 or even under $50 out there?

pontifex - one of those Weigh Max ones? I see at lot of them on eBay, and after checking local prices decided it was worth a chance.

I got the 75lb one, weighed a few items at the post office for comparison and came up within .2oz at 20lbs. Curious if others have tested theirs for accuracy and what they found.

Serviceable scale, but not much to look at. Might not be the best gift item, but for others who came in to look at the topic because they too could use a scale...

How much weight are you talking about? You can get one at a kitchen store like Bed Bath and Beyond in your price range.

I signed up w/ stamps.com and got a free digital scale (upto 5lbs). You just have to cancel within 1 month.

Most of what he's shipping is fairly lightweight stuff like routers, hard drives, etc. Maybe once in a while something heavy but he can use the bathroom scale for that IMO.

no, its a My Weight Ultra Ship.

Looks exactly like this but I'm pretty sure it weighs up to 75 lbs.

Rightonscales.com has good stuff. I used a small digital one for tea. Very accurate. Up to 0.01 grams.

The target ones weight in oz or grams good for both popular illegal substances, but I use mine to weigh my chinchillas :)
