recommend me a good blender/smoothie maker

i realize most of us are computer geeks here, but i know there's a good number of culinary men here as well.

I'm sick of buying a new blender every year or so.
I make smoothies and shakes on a daily basis (often more than once per day)

I need a good blender/smoothie maker that will last more than a year or two.
I don't wanna spend too much...preferably less than 100 bucks if possibly.

Anyone care to share their experiences?

that one handed robot chop thing.....

i dont need to think.. some one has allready replied with the link!

Man, I think paying the money for one that would last a long time is worth it. My next kitchen appliance is the pro level blender like they use at Caribou, Jamba Juice, etc. You know the one I'm talking about? Maybe a little loud, but powerful, efficient, and durable. I'm sick of the wimpy Oster and KitchenAid ones...

Anyone know what brand those are and/or where to get them?

dude I'm going to watch this thread because I want one too. we've been through like 3 blenders and we don't even treat them rougly. and they're weren't cheap either, they were like $50+! 😛

This thing rocks. I use mine everyday.

are you serious? I was watching the infomercial on tv awhile back, and it looked pretty good, but I figured, eh, its an infomercial

I'm surprised at some of the stuff tho. my mom bought one of those Preferred Chef chopper things and it works AWESOME! It'll take everything from walnuts to carrots. They're getting better at manufacturing stuff, I guess.

My little brother loves watching infomericals and begged my mom to get him this. My mom got me one as well as a xmas gift. I've only used it for fruit smoothies and protein shakes but it's treated me well so far. I like the results that come out of it.
