I just got a 9800 Pro and with my next paycheck I want to get an interesting game that will use my video card wisely.

I do like:

Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, etc

Should I pick up that Battle19838 whatever?

UT2k3?

Please recommend me a game. One game to be exact.

If you have ever even remotely liked Counter-Strike, get Raven Shield. It's like a much better version of CS. Great graphics and it's really intense. This is assuming you will be playing online.

Cool, thanks for the recommendation. I kinda like CS but I always end up getting shot.

Diablo 2, would run just fine with a crappy vid card, Warcraft 3 will not run notably faster, depending on what you had b4 though of course.

I recomend BF1942 or UT2003, both are great games that would use it, to almost it's fullest.

SoF2 infiltration is the exact same thing as CS, as well. I haven't played Raven Shield, but I'm stuck on it.

BF1942 is only the best thing since CS. :) DC .4 just came out, as well.

Save your money. You are only screwing yourself by constantly spending it.

SoF2 infiltration is the exact same thing as CS, as well. I haven't played Raven Shield, but I'm stuck on it.

I've played Infiltration, and in my opinion Raven Shield beats out both it and (definitely) Counter-Strike. Raven Shield is slower paced, and in my opinion more intense than either game. It seems that at times you can absorb an absurd amount of damage in CS and SoFII and and still survive. Not the case in Raven Shield. If you are in the blast radius of a grenade, you're dead. If you get shot in the chest/head, you're dead (unless your opponent is using an exceptionally weak gun). The point is that you must choose your steps much more carefully if you don't want to die. Furthermore, Raven Shield has a better weapon selection than both CS and SoFII combined. All of which are now nicely modeled in first person, unlike the previous Rainbow Six games. If that wasn't enough, Raven Shield clearly outshines SoFII in the graphics department as well (and of course CS, whose graphics are now a joke as far as I'm concerned). Nice player models, much more detailed maps than SoFII or CS, and the best flashbang effects you'll find outside of dropping a real flashbang at your feet all add up to one hella fun game. RS will certainly allow your new 9800 pro to stretch its legs. So again, if you like "tactical shooter" type games, Raven Shield is the best there is.

And if you buy it let me know, we can play online.
