Recommend me a DLP

Samsung or Toshiba.

and those samsung problems were in the old models. they are on their 4th gen or higher now.

Give up on the Samsung eh? lol

I have worked at stores that sell multiple DLP's. My favorite was the Toshiba's then next came the samsung

Is that a wobulated 1080P or a real 2mill pixels?

Me. I'm waiting at least another year or two before looking at a new TV. Microdisplays are going to be improving a lot in the coming years. Right now I would probably get a Sony SXRD but even that should improve some in the next release or two.

My understanding is that the current Sony SXRD is the only 1080p that is not wobulated at the moment. I almost pulled the trigger on one last weekend but just couldn't bring myself to drop 4k on a TV.

I got the Sony SXRD before Christmas. It set me back $3,600 (after pricematches) but it is a great TV. It is very clear, sharp and the black is not washed out. No buyers remorse yet - I'd get it again in a heartbeat.

Okay, I went into Circuit City yesterday and checked out the DLPs. I wasn't aware that they had viewing angle problems similar to old school rear projection big screens. I'm not sure if a DLP is going to work for me. My typical viewing angle will be about 10-12 feet away, 3 feet below the bottom of the TV, about 2 feet from the left edge of the TV. I tried getting in that position at the store, and it seemed like there were dark spots at that angle on pretty much every DLP.
