Recommend me a digital camera.

In my opinion, Canon's have had the best image quality regardless of pixel ratings. I have tried Sony, Casio, HP, and a host of others, and always keep coming back to my Canon.

If your a penny-pinching mofo like me, Circuit City is running a deal on a Polaroid 3 MP Digital for $99. Not a bad camera at all for such a rock bottom price 😀

Canon A610 or A620 for a P&S. My girlfriend and I just picked up an A610 from B&H for her parents for $250...really all most people would ever need.

ohh damn, that is a sharp price. Is that an everyday price or was it a Black Friday deal or something?

Mini size: Canon SD400 (5MP) for ~$250 or Canon SD300 (4MP) for ~200. With DIGIC II processor, it's very fast and the color is amazing. They're made in Japan.

Compact Size: Canon A610. Uses the same DIGIC II processor. Excellent picture quality but it's not made in Japan.

I refer these Canon because of their picture quality, fast response and 35-105mm lense (Sony usually has 38mm)
