Gevalia usually does promotions with a make that has everything you described. You pay $10, get 2 bags of coffee, filters, and the 10 cup coffee maker.

yep I have their 10-cup programmable one, def. a cheap coffee maker, but it does the job just fine and has a year warranty even if you cancel your membership as soon as you get it

We did the same thing to replace our Mr. Coffee pot at work. The Gevaila coffee maker is working just fine. Auto start FTW.

You can get coffemakers similar to the Gevalia one for $12 at Target/Walmart.

A $60 pot won't make better tasting coffee either.

That sounds great but my wife would HAVE to have something in black/stainless steel.

$12 won't get you programable makers with hot plate controls and a well designed carafe that doesn't spill all over the place.

All sorts of different deals. Here's the Stainless I have. Correction, it's a 12 cup one:

Spend a little more and get a Bunn...Pour in the water, and in 3 minutes, you have a pot of hot delicious coffee...ONLY coffeemaker we've owned for almost 15 years...

That it does. I found this out the hard way. I had gone to class for a few hours when I realized my coffee pot was still on. So I ran all the way across campus to find out that it has auto-shutoff. I looked silly :(
