I have an IBM "Preferred" keyboard. Got it for 20 bucks five years ago. I don't know if it's made anymore, but it's proven to be indestructible and has a nice tight feel to the keys.

Thanks for all the opinions :)

I ended getting the Microsoft Natural Keyboard wireless combo with the optical mouse for 40$ locally.
I'll report back on it :)

The problem I had with my keybord is I felt for extended typing the travel was way to far. I wanted something with a light touch. I hover when I type, so striking keys accidently is not likely to happen with my typing style. If this doesn't suit my style I'll take it back to the store and try another recommended one.

I'm still looking at the "Happy Hacking" keyboards. They look good - anyone with experience?

wireless - nice!

I love mushy keys so anything as cheap as $3 would be fine for me.

I want a new keyboard too, preferably black with usb, a standard layout, and no extra buttons.
This one is closest so far, but it has a messed up layout. I don't mind the extra buttons on this one since it doesn't really make it any larger.

Coincidence... I'm using this one as I type. It's great as far as click-pressure goes... but the layout is pretty messed up. I still have problems using the cursors (not just a triangle formation there), the delete key, and the home/end keys... and I've had it for more than a year. I deal with it - don't exactly know why. ;)
