Going with Cingular. Just need a basic phone, don't need email, internet, or for it to suck my dick or cook me breakfast, just want to make and receive calls.

Flip phone would be nice, not necessary though.

I like my Sony Ericsson T637. It's very nice. I don't know if it does or does not suck dicks. You might have to call Sony Ericsson and ask them.

However, I'd suggest a RAZR.

any samsung phone will do, as they usually come free after rebates.

you probably won't get a RAZR for free... beside, imo, it's overhyped and Motorola's user interface as friendly as DOS prompt.

RAZR is so overhyped and buggy i would get the Moto V551, i have one coming in tomm I cant wait to have BT again. I got got bored with my nokia 3220, Siemens SL55, and my latest Nokia 6101

i have a motorola phone made in like '99. it has a green screen. it doesn't have a camera. i like it because it works and doesn't have 1283905712935 features that i don't want/use/need.

you should try it, you might like it :)

and no, it isn't a brick either...

awesome phone, had it for about a year now and unlocked it last nite in case i want to switch providers.

a bit much for this guy though.

Samsung makes a good phone all right. I have an a670 and it dropped down about 9 stories in an elevator shaft and survived. The LCD display was toast and the cover was just about off but I could still send and receive calls on it. :)

i buy and sell phones all the time, i almost always get my money back on ebay so its not a big deal. Trust me im not bad as the people on howardforums they by like $500 phones every week just to try them out.

i buy and sell phones all the time, i almost always get my money back on ebay so its not a big deal. Trust me im not bad as the people on howardforums they by like $500 phones every week just to try them out.

i buy a tmobile phone or any other unlocked gsm phone use it for a few weeks, and if i dont like it i put it back on ebay, sometimes i may lose $5 or so but its worth trying out new gadgets all the time.

I have a RAZR, I like it but I mostly just use the bluetooth headset. I could've gone with the v600 instead & saved some money. Or if you dont need bluetooth, get a v300 put it in v600 housing & upgrade the firmware / flex software to that of the v600. Exact same as v600 except no bluetooth.

Has loads of gadgets that you think you won't need but trust me they are good! It is now my sole mp3 player!

Shame sony ericson OS sucks compared to nokia :(
