BT vs. WI

B/C my laptop has Bluetooth built in. Built in Bluetooth > RF USB dongle hanging off my laptop.

And I don't understand what your link has to do with the topic at hand:confused:

Yeah, BT mice suck. As do the keyboards.

I love the Logitech MX notebook mice but yeah, you got an RF dongle to deal with.

this is one of the only BT mouse that gets decent ratings on amazon.

Suck for what? I don't understand. I turn my BT mouse on, it connects in 2 seconds and I don't have to worry about it. It's dead simple.

I don't game with my laptop, I only use it for day to day productivity and it works fine.

Ohh, BTW. That's the mouse I have :D :p:D. But it has no back/forward buttons.

read up on some BT kb/mouse reviews on amazon. a lot of them says singal lag and the "stuck key" problem... well, that's for keyboard at least.

I could really care less about keyboards. All I care about is mice :D All I know is that my BT mouse works great, just that I wish it had a couple more buttons.

Very simple - it points out the srengths and weakness of BT and wireless.

I didn't realize your laptop had built in BT. Sorry about that. More buttons? Not enough bandwidth in the BT signal. Be thankful it can find your cursor. :)

I have the MX900 keyboard and mouse from logitech..can't beat it. They sell the Mx1000 now though. I think it's a great mouse.

The MX900 mouse is exactly the same as the MX700. And yeah, the freedom of Bluetooth mouse on a laptop is great.

And that is a big plus. Imagine several in an office within 60 feet of each other. That is chaos.

Who can see their monitor 60 feet away! Sheesh! :)

Yeah, but what does WiFi have to do with mice? :D

My BT mouse has been perfect for me..I can't shake it...only thing is the occasional reconnect when i change batteries. Some people look into things way to much..if it works it works.

Bluetooth is better for laptops that support it as it's built into the notebook and simply works

this is like comparing a wireless card built into the laptop and an external wireless card like usb

laptops are made for portability therfore Bluetooth is much more convient

but still I think touchpads are good enough for simple stuff

Agreed. I just wish there was some more variety with Bluetooth mice...especially from someone like Logitech who makes tons of notebook mice, but only one with BT :(

Logitch makes a Bluetooth version of the MX1000, but you have to buy the BT keyboard with it to get it. Too bad, really. I own an MX900, and while I don't think it's a bad mouse, I do think it's noticably worse than the MX1000, and is only barely suitable for gaming. Of course, if you don't care about gaming, anything from Logitech will work fine.

I do see that the Logitech V270 looks like a good option.

I loved my MX900 logitech. Used mostly for gaming and did not experience any lag or problems. Of course the upgrade bug got to me and have since been using a G5 laser mouse.

I am planning on using my MX900 when I connect my lap top to my 61 inch HDTV (rarely).

peace

Just my short expression for wireless. Since it is an RF signal, I didn't know what else to call. So, if Bluetooth is BT, and plain old wireless can be WF. :)

you really need to buy that and tell me how well it works. I've been looking too for a bluetoof mouse for my MacBookPro and haven't been impressed with what I've seen. The RadTech BT600 mouse seems neat, but kinda ugly. I like that it can be recharged by plugging in a usb cable. I haven't seen any reviews for it either.
