Recommend MB for 955 X4 Phenom Black please.

Hi Guys,

Can someone recommend a good board with wi-fi and audio for my 955 x4 phenom bloack edition?

I've been out of the hardware scene for awhile so am not current with the latest tech.

My old mobo is an asus m4a87td evo.

The USB conector attachment on my tower came loose and there was a short which has messed up all my USB ports.

Nothing too expensive i.e. i don't need a crossfire setup.

You do not give a price range but these mobos are centered around the hundred dollar price point:

Audio is pretty much a given.

Wifi: you have to get a much higher end board to get that included. Recommend you buy that separately.

Good idea btw about using a usb dongle or whatnot instead of a MB with built in wifi. Not sure what i was thinking. thanks again.

970 shipset is fine. The $85 AsRock mobo + PCI wifi adapter looks like it suits your needs.

970 chipset doesn't come with integrated graphics, if that is important to you

his m4a87td does not have integrated graphics, so he must have some sort of graphics card.

970 shipset is fine. The $85 AsRock mobo + PCI wifi adapter looks like it suits your needs.
