Hi, my Canon MX922 died today after many years of use and I need to replace it. Mostly used for daily black and white printing with an occasional color or photo for my kids school project. Would like two paper trays, duplexing especially for the scanner and printer. Print from Iphone. Wireless. It looks like amazon still sells the MX922 but it is pretty old. There must be something better out there now. Ive done some research but frankly all the model numbers are confusing.

thanks for the link to the updated model. Does anyone have any experience with a recent model printer to recommend? I might just go with this new one.

Consider HP Officejet Pro 7740 - it is $250 but sometimes it is on sale for less - it is huge & can also handle 11 x 17 paper if you should have a need for it. It has seperate ink tanks - I would consider to replace my HP7410 when it dies

Thanks for the recommendation. I think that is a little too much printer for my needs. I don't need the fax capability at all. More just home office type use with these capabilities:

-print, scan, copy
-duplex print
-ADF for printing, copying and scanning uses
-Legal size capability (once in a while)
-print from iphone, ipad

So far I've narrowed it down to Canon TS6120 and TR7520. Amazon is still selling the exact model I had, MX922, so I might just get that even though its an old model.

The one I suggested, while a bit overkill, can do everything you want ... And it handles Ledger Size Paper if needed .. Since it is more of an office unit, it should be more durable. But it will take up some extra space.

Yes, i just took out a measuring tape and it's too big for my stand/file cabinet. That 28" for paper trays is huge.
