Recommend Headphones?

Can anyone recommend some quality headphones for traveling? The ones set that came with my MD player suck. Foldable ones seem flimsy and I hate ear buds. Any suggestions, thanks in advace for any replies.

I travel with this

Are you kidding me, those are huge. I don't want to walk around like a freakin' DJ in an airport.

Earbuds are uncomfortable.

The alternative is instead of listening to your music you listen to the airplane engines, unless you pump the volume to ear drum piercing levels 🙂

but you're talking about something to "walk around" in? Should've mentioned that, earbuds are the best for that it's too bad you don't like them.

If you are going to fly, the most important factor in headphones is how much insulation they have against outside noise. Airplanes are notoriously loud from the engines and such that if you can get some that are basically Ear Protection from noise with some speakers in them, that's probably work great.

You could look into canalphones, they go into the ear canal rather than just the outer portion of the ear like earbuds. They offer good isolation from outside noise and good sound quality. Shure ec2s can be had for as little as $60 US.
