I just bought a PS3 on Fleabay (couldn't resit the M$ %35 off deal) Mainly bought for the Blu-ray but since I have it might as well game abit on it. I'm a die hard PC gamer so these are mostly for my son who is 6 1/2.

Any recommendations on games. Please try and avoid the violent ones (at least for him :) )

Thanks

- Either of the LEGO Star Wars or Indiana Jones games
- Surf's Up (you can find it used pretty cheap)
- Kung Fu Panda
- Ratchet & Clank (not sure how difficult this may be for a 6-year old)
- Hot Shots Golf
- Motostorm (?)
- Some of the PSN games.

Definately the lego games, you two can play co-op..

My son ( will be 6 in October) loves them to death..

As a 6 year old I'll assume he's not into super simulator racing games so we'll X off GT5.

Little Big Planet (don't know if it's out yet) looks awesome, although I have no clue what the game is about :p

If he likes cars and wants a simpler game GRiD would be a good game. More arcadey racing with no tuning and such.

Don't have a PS3 so I can't think of any others off the top of my head. Only others I can think of are violent (Metal Gear Solid 4, Call of Duty 4, Oblivion).

*edit* Oh, I completely forgot about the Lego games! Yeah, he'd love those I'm sure. Heck, I think I've yet to find a kid OR adult who didn't love those.

Is it a 60 GB or 80 GB? If so it can play PS2 games like Katamari Damacy

A 6-year-old shouldn't be super picky about graphics, and even the 40 GB model plays PS1 games (but not PS2). So you could go into a game store and buy 10 used PS1 games for the cost of 1 new PS3 game.
