Recommend external enclosure for multiple IDE drives?

Can anyone recommend an external USB2 / firewire enclosure for multiple IDE drives?
I want to put my CD-WR and a couple of HDs in there ...

Any reason why you don't want a bunch of seperate ones? IMO, seperate drives would be better, better heat dissipation and you can easily move them around if you'd like.

If it's firewire, you can easily daisy chain the drives, and if you care about the drives matching, just get some all from the same company.

Anyway, I like MAcally Al Drives

That is really expensive if you ask me ...
The external enclosure for 1 drive is like $20-$30 ... so for 2+ it should not be more than $30-$50 ....
Those prives are ridicolous.

This is the cheapest thing i can find Coolmax CD-509-U2 $19.99 stackable, Don't know if fans are included or not. Don't know that you are going to find to much for less than that. I can't even find any multi drive enclosures that are anywhere near the kind of pricing you are looking for. Did see some less expensive enclosures for smaller formfactor HDDs (1.8" and 2.5") but i don't think that is what you are looking for.

Single drive enclosures are mass market items - multi-drive enclosures are niche-market items on which one can always expect to pay more. You can always try places like centrix-intl.com or eBay for some fire sale items.
