Recommend Biggest Bang For The Buck 24" Monitor

Looking for a good 24" monitor. Should at least have a S-PVA or MVA type of screen and preferably a 3 year warranty.

I am looking for a reasonable price point (doesn't need to be dirt cheap but outrageous is a no go) on a decent model. Links to ordering source would be helpful as well as specs and or reviews.

I am thinking than a TN type screen is just not the thing to go with, even with low MS like 2 and high contrast rations like 3000:1. The Acer I bought a few days ago, P241W, has these specs and looks pretty good, but now I am having second thoughts due to finding out that a lot of people say the S-PVA or MVA and then, of course, the IPS and S-IPS being even higher.

So, real world, some gaming but mostly business use: what make and model and from where?

I have searched the net and local stores, and finding a real and currently available honest to goodness S-PVA or better screen on a 24" monitor has become hazardous at best as some mfg. have started substituting in TN screens on their formerly non-tn monitors while still using the same model number. Driving me NUTS is what this is.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you are looking for an affordable one, i've seen some people recommend the westing house which costs around 450 bucks.

Most people can not tell the difference between the two types of monitors. S-PVA, MVA, IPS, TN I couldn't tell the difference if you offered me a million dollars. Unless you are trying to use your monitor for extreme viewing angles*, or you are doing work with photos for publishing purposes and you need 100% color accuracy, then you don't need anything other than TN.
*As a side note who the hell is looking at their monitor from such angles that you need to have a higher quality panel?

Most of the the talk between the different types is bragging rights about having the best monitor. If you get a TN with a good brightness and contrast ratio you neither you nor the AV guy from across the street is going to complain.

I would vote you get the SAMSUNG 245T if you find you must have a higher quality panel at a decent price.

Or get the Soyo 24" 24DYLM24D6 when it goes on sale at office max, supposedly some of them are MVA panels (Though I highly doubt it).
