I have a SATA-II drive that I'd like to put in an external enclosure. I've never even seen such a product before and have no idea what features to look for in one. Can someone recommend a good one that is too expensive for me? I see myself using this with a laptop that has both USB2.0 and eSATA connections (I'm assuming the eSATA is faster).

I located this SunBeam Tech "HDD Docking Station" on newegg that claims to be SATAII for example. Your suggestions are welcomed :)

I bought this a few months ago. I don't know if this is much help though now because it is not deactivated: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817173040

I found it to be perfect because it has a stylish aluminum exterior, very solid construction, the stand holds it perfectly and tightly, the blue LED isn't too bright and lame, it is eSATA and USB, and it has a rear fan with it's own on/off switch. I am in the market again for a two hard drive enclosure and I will probably buy a Rosewell again.

I have a similar docking station: newertechnology Voyager

It is very, very handy, and the price is right. I bought ten drive boxes to protect the bare drives when not in use: Wiebetech Protective Hard Drive Cases

However, I find there's a bit of play inserting drives into a "vertical toaster" like these units, which can interfere with mounting. One gets the hang of it, but my suspicion is that the tolerances are exactly those of a trayless bay device, completely ignoring the difference between supporting a hard disk along its entire length, and supporting a drive along a third of its length. Leverage? What's that?

I'm looking for something similar, but needs to be small, portable, not too loud, and nice looking. The RoseWill is too big.
