Basically I'm looking for a solid motherboard to overclock an E8400 to 3.5 ghz+ that isn't over $100 (the less the better). I'll be using 4 GB of OCZ RAM (4x1GB), one SATA HD, one SATA DVD drive and a single video card, which is a 3870 for the time being. I will be using my Asus Xonar PCI-E sound card and the on board ethernet.

Thanks in advance!

As far as the Biostar goes, it looks nice but 1 in 5 give it a 1 egg review so that's sort of deterring me.

smithrwon, I appreciate the recommendation but I absolutely despise Gigabyte and I should have mentioned that. I am currently running a DS3-965P with an E4300 and it is a complete piece of crap. Many people with this board have the same problem I have, and that's the inability to restart your computer. No biggie, right? Well, when you overclock your CPU in BIOS you need to save and then restart, only, you can't with these motherboards. The only way to get it to boot back up after a restart is to unplug the power cord from the PSU, let it sit for a while, then go at it again, only your BIOS has been reset. Fun times. It used to work just fine and then one day it got jacked and never worked properly. I used to OC this 1.8 ghz. chip to 3.3 ghz. 24/7 but not any more. Within the Gigabyte software in Windows the max OC I can get is 2.7 ghz. I'd like to avoid giving them my business but if you and others are certain this is the board to get without any of those QC issues I mentioned I may consider it.

Thanks for the replies and I hope for some more! :)

I've been using a MSI P45 Neo3-FR for 2-3 weeks now that I've been happy with. It replaced a Gigabyte 965 board that had become a nightmare so I was also looking to avoid buying another Gigabyte. I've heard of people taking the MSI up to a 500 FSB. Also has a nice heatpipe and the price is right around $100 after MIR.

Hmm, just realized it's only got one PCI-E x1 slot which is right below the x16 slot. Might be a problem getting your sound card in if you have a large heatsink on your video card.

I was looking at that one but that space limitation is going to pose a problem. :(

In the last day or so I picked up a GTX 260 and an E3110 (8400 Xeon) at a steal with the 30% back from ebay. Now, if I could only find a motherboard! :)
