recommend a wireless router for me

My devices/uses:

Wii
iPhone 4S
O!play
PC w/wireless card
apple laptops
Nintendo DS
Nook Simple Touch

I'd like to be able to stream HD quality video with the O!play and have good performance for PC gaming. I'm concerned about the Wii being on the same network as other things as a friend of mine said some G devices like that make the whole network run at that speed. Would dual band be able to split that up and preserve the 5.0 GHZ for N devices? How useful is the gigabit hook up? Would it be advantageous to hard wire some things? And if I did, can you "turn off" the wireless feature of something, like a Nintendo Wii for example, once you hardwire it?

Thanks for any and all help!

If you're serious about online gaming I'd recommend a wired connection for the PC. Wireless increases your lag a bit but it also increases your jitter (variation in latency) making it harder to adapt your timing to the lag when other devices are in use or if there's interference from neighbors. This can be a large or small effect depending on your exact setup, but if you can get your gaming rig a wired connection it's a good thing.

Slower devices can cause negotiation issues. Dual band routers don't necessarily solve the problem, though. 5ghz capable N devices can and do negotiate a narrow 2.4ghz connection. The hardware that does solve the issue is expensive enough to suggest wiring the house over buying it. But really, with a dual band router you should be more than well enough off bandwidth wise.

I don't have a particular router or wireless nic suggestion. Hopefully someone with a bit more experience can help out there.

When using a laptop for mundane things Wireless is more comfortable.

However, tehnology wise Wire Giga capable network with wires is always better.
