Question in title. Looking for something to watch. Preferably filmed in last 15 years. I'm relatively new to the genre so haven't seen many.

  1. Hell or High Water,
  2. 3:10 to Yuma (18 years old tho),
  3. Django Unchained (lots of n words dropped)
  4. True Grit 2010 remake with Hailee Steinfeld and Jeff Bridges
  5. Bone Tomahawk (won't rewatch it because of that one scene)

Both versions of The Hateful Eight (a Tarantino film) are leaving Jan. 24th.

What I can see on Amazon Prime Video UK, assuming you haven't already seen them:

The Dark Knight
John Wick 2
Kingsman (the first film)
The Prestige
Margin Call
Shaun of the Dead
John Wick 1
Weird: The Weird Al Yankovic Story

I'd keep looking, but whoever designed the website for Amazon Prime Video needs to be banned from using touch-screens for a few years before they're allowed to design another website.

True Grit I have seen. It was wonderful. One of my favorite movies of all time.

None of these are westerns, to my knowledge?

I think my brain did a "does not compute" when reading the OP, asking for a western filmed in the last 15 years, causing me to think "maybe they mean films made in the West in the last 15 years". <shrugs> :)

The True Grit 2010 remake though was pretty good. If "the last 15 years" isn't a hard limit, then the next youngest Western I'd strongly recommend is 'Unforgiven' (1998 I think, Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Richard Harris).

If age isn't so much of an issue, then go straight for the classics:

Once Upon A Time In The West
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
For a Few Dollars More
A Fistful Of Dollars

Yeah, I picked True Grit up on Blu-Ray at a thrift store :)

I just saw OP has Netflix listed too, had my own brain fart and thought it just said Prime.
In that case, I suggest the Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

Buy 10 western movies for 10 bucks (today only sale). They redeem on Fandango at Home (formerly Vudu). Most of there stuff isn't Movie's Anywhere compatible. I've purchased from Fanflix several times with no issues.
