Recommend a Video card for Photoshop intensive work, absolutely no game?

Hi,
I'm building an Athlon2600/NF7-S system mainly for home use and digital photography work - no game. Do I need a super duper $200-$300 video card? Which one do you recommend? Thanks.

 
if u are into digital graphics w/o ANY GAMing, go for the Matrox cards, they still dominate the 2D market.

Just make sure your system has a beefy CPU, Lots of RAM and a FAST HD to run PhotoShop's Scratch Disk 🙂
 
while i can't recommend any specific matrox card, it depends on if u want dual or triple monitor, but all matrox cards are superb at 2D work.
