Recommend a TV Tuner..

So I need a TV Tuner, but I'm not sure at this point which to get. I haven't had one for about 4 years so I'm a little out of the loop.

I'm looking for one that will allow me to record from a Comcast digital box (no DVR). Price range is roughly $100-$150.

It's a dual tuner card, so you can record 2 frequencies at once. Can't say how it performs under windows though.

You most likely won't be able to record anything but your local broadcast networks, because the other channels are likely to be encrypted.

I'm confused as what you are asking. The cable box from comcast is a tuner. Are you looking for a way to record from the comcast box to a PC?

You need and HD-PVR by Hauppauge. Get the new version the older one had problems.

Model 1250 I believe is the new one.

It will send IR signals to your cable box to change the channels then record them through component. Otherwise you would be able to see the HD channes that are encrypted.
