Shows that I've seen every single episode and/or keep current with:
- Lost
- Stargate (all)
- Heroes
- Prison Break
- Star Trek: TNG
- Leverage
- Breaking Bad
- Dexter
- Flash Forward
- Dead Like Me

Shows that I liked, but didn't quite finish because I lost interest:
- 24 (season 4 was horrible, 5 wasn't good enough to make up for it)
- Star Trek: Voyager (not bad. I might pick this one back up.)
- Curb Your Enthusiasm (Original 5 seasons rocked. Tried 1 new episode, it sucked.)

Shows that I tried watching but couldn't stand:
- Psych (horrible, cheesy acting)
- Fringe (learn how to hold a camera, please)
- Star Trek: Enterprise (meh...)
- House (stopped after season 3. Might pick it back up.)
- Firefly (can't stand western/country stuff)
- Battlestar Galactica (drama in space?)
- Nip Tuck (Just doesn't appeal to me for some reason)

Other things you should know:
- I hate shows with laugh tracks
- I hate shaky cameras

Any suggestions? I need something new to get hooked on :-D

Help me ATOT; you're my only hope.

Supernatural...my favorite show on tv. Season one starts off slow and not very polished, but each season just keeps getting better. Big Love is pretty damn good, and Curb Your Enthusiasm is a must!

Doh! Forgot to add Curb Your Enthusiasm to my list...

SAWYER - how long does it take for Supernatural to get good? An entire season?

Modern Family
Arrested Development
House

Those are my 3 favorite shows right now. AD might be my favorite all time. It's a shame they only made 3 seasons.

Some great shows that I would recommend watching from start to finish:
The Wire
Sopranos
OZ
Firefly
The Shield
Sons of Anarchy

I see you already watch 2 of my other favorites: Dexter and Breaking Bad.

I second that, I think after 3 or 4 episodes it started to get good.

Try Battlestar Galactica again. Yes, it is primarily a 'drama' with space as a plot element.
Take away the notion that "drama" is somehow a terrible idea. Most shows are a drama with the setting as a plot element. Lost is definitely a drama, just their plot element is called "large servings of Crazy". I am a Lost maniac, and absolutely loved BSG (we are talking the more recent version, yes?)

I never got into Stargate, but I recommend Farscape. I just blazed through the 4 seasons and miniseries series capper, and damn that was extremely enjoyable.

It doesn't have that BSG production touch/flair, but I got over that pretty quickly.
Season 1 is pretty slow compared to the rest of the series, so even if you're kind of "meh" at first, trust me - it gets really good. They had to spend a lot of time introducing all the basic elements and explain what compels the various characters.

I havent watched season one in a couple years, but not long or i wouldn't have keep watching. How can you go wrong with a show about hunting monsters, demons, angels, the devil and the apocalypse?

Exactly what I was going to post.

And for those interested, it's only $59.99 for the complete series on DVD (minus the Peacekeeper Wars) - not sure how long this is going to last over at Amazon. "You save $89.96"

Indeed...I thought that was an odd complaint especially in the light of loving ST:TNG and liking ST:V...those are not dramas? The difference between BSG and Star Trek is simply longer/more complex plot arcs....Star Trek is very episodic. Skip a week and you don't miss anything that you might need to know next week. Bearing that in mind, if you like Lost and Star Trek it seems odd not to like BSG!

I agree with giving BSG a second try.

If you like episodic sci-fi you might like Doctor Who.

I would also recommend "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia".

Finally, you could seek out some of the fun Canadian series like Regenesis or Slings & Arrows.
