This is a pretty cool device because you no longer need to carry around a laptop to store all your pictures while you travel. You can copy the pictures from the memory card straight to the hard drive without a pc.

I need to find one that will support those new SSD hard drives...it would be sweet 🙂
 
Looks nice. SSD drives aren't cheap though.

It says it's HDD interface is IDE, so as long as the SSD you buy is an ATA, you should be good to go.

It's not small, but an Infrant NAS will do that, that's what I use. Nothing like 2 TB of storage for pics 🙂
 
Sure you can, I do. I have a outlet in both my vehicles. The NAS is pretty small believe it or not and pulls something like 80 watts. Maybe the size of 3 computer CD-roms. It does not have it's own battery though, so it is useless if a vehicle is not nearby.
