Recommend a <shudder> Mac for a PC guy

Here's my situation: I work in tech support for a local municipality, and am a PC guy to the hilt. My wife wants a Mac, and not knowing much about them I'm looking for recommendations as to what I should get. I've been looking at refurbs on Apple's site Refurbished iMac 400 , but I was hoping that maybe someone out there could point me in the direction of a better deal.

I dont know much about prices. I just bought an ibook because Mac OS X is the best &quot;consumer&quot; os out there. But the iMacs are a decent choice. And if you can find a cube go for it although the upgrade possibilities for both the cube and imac are almost nil. Check out a G4 tower if you want the latest and greatest, but if you can find a decent G3 tower you should be fine for a while.
 
What the Hell your wife wants a mac and you get to play around with something different. Sounds good to me.


Oh yea I don't know much about prices execpt they are high.
