at the momemt im am using a pow max 500W and waiting for it to blow so i need to get a new one

computer specs:
Asus P5GDC-V Deluxe mobo
ATI X800 XL (maybe, right now using onboard but plan to get a new card after i get the powersupply)
P4 2.8
1 Gigbyte Patriot memory (soon to upgrade, by the way is there any difference in 4GB of single channel or 2Gb of dual channel)
1 sata 160GB hard drive
2 DVD-RW IDE
1 floppy

i was looking at the Antec smart power 2.0 but in another forum that had a guide he listed good ones and said "except smart power"

i need to keep it under 120 dollars, maybe a little more

Dual channel deals with the amount of data that can be transferred. Not the amount of RAM that there is.

IMO, 1GB is fine for now. 4GB is definitely overkill.

The Seasonic S12 series are pretty good. 430W seems right around your alley 🙂
