Hey guys, just wanted an opinion on what kind of a power supply to get for this system:

ASUS GeForce GTX 670 4GB x 2
ASUS Sabertooth Z77
Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB SSD
Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB HDD x 2 (In Raid 0)
Intel Core i7 3770
Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 16GB DDR3-1600 C9 4x4GB
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
ASUS BC-12B1ST Blu Ray Reader

I'm looking to get one for corsair, but cant figure out just how amount of watts I should get

Thanks

Minimum 600W. 3770s and 670s are rather lean. You'll can get a 600-650W with a bit of headroom, but if you can afford it get a 700-750W.

A better unit and sufficient for your rig would be the Seasonic X-650 for $129 with free shipping from newegg:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151088

just missed a sale for $100 on it.

These are the new series with 7 year warranty and very good reviews:

Or you could get the X-750 if you think you need that margin.

These are the best quality and best deal at the moment IMO. I am very happy with my X-850, which was just reviewed and got another excellent must-have:

yeah I have 6 seasonics , 2x 400 fanless 2x x 660 and 2x 1000 platinum ,but the sale was over.

the antec I picked has good value at 89.99.

if the x650 was on sale it would be okay as long as he did not oc as high as possible.

but at 129 vs 89 i would take the antec

Well I reckon those reviews justify the relative price difference between those Seasonic and Antec pretty well., even considering the sale price.

It is nice to see these higher power Antecs with multiple 12 volt rails.

yeah no question the seasonics are better built. but 40 bucks cheaper and 100 watts more power for the antec is what pushed me to pick it over the seasonic x650.

I have a few 2x 7970 setups with the seasonic x660's basically the same as the x650. I run them 24/7 at bit coin but I under clock just a bit and leave the cpu at stock (a low power 2500t) this pulls 380 to 420 watts.

So yeah he could use the seasonic x650 or x660.

A while back the x750 seasonic was on sale for 100 or so that would be perfect for him at 100. of all the psu's I purchased this year I had 1 bad out of 13 psu's the bad one was an antec platinum ea-450. I have 2 good antec's.

Changed the build a little bit:

Intel Core i5 3570k @ 4.2Ghz
CoolerMaster HAF XM
Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB SSD
Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB HDD x 2
ASUS P8Z77-V
LG BH14NS40 Blu Ray Writer
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo
ASUS GeForce GTX 680 4GB x 2 (Decided to go all out, these are on stock clocks btw, and will not be overclocked)
Corsair Vengeance CML16GX3M4A1600C9
2 x 140mm Fan Bitfenix Spectre Pro Red LED

Would an 850 watt psu cover this?

You can go Tri-SLI with a good enough 850. With that said, if you bumped up the cards because you found extra cash, that money would be much better spent on a bigger SSD instead due to the tiny performance difference between 670s and 680s. SSD performance seems to improve with more unused space.
