Recommend a notebook soundcard to me

Can someone recommend a notebook or external soundcard? I wnat better sound when i dock my laptop.

Sound Blaster Audigy 2 PCMCIA or NX (NX being a USB version of the original Audigy 2, and PCMCIA obviously being a PCMCIA card but having the desktop Audigy 2 ZS feature set)

so do either of these come with preset ambience settings such as, jazz club or concert that change the way the sound feels.

Indeed a good choice. Bit pricey for me but still not too shabby

I'll make it fit - I wanted the same thing, but not PCMCIA - that is where my Aircard goes. So . . . I got the Creative Audigy USB external - very small - about the size of a deck of cards, and it is outstanding in every way. It is the Audigy 2NX - but USB, not PCMCIA.
