Soo.... here is the deal, I love this printer but its super old, it still works like a charm. but in the age of windows 7/8 I am experiencing difficulties with printing lots of documents lately of PDF etc, they go to the printer but it errors out or prints some pages and just shows tons of errors on others :(

I would LOVE to get a replacement that uses the same toner (but I realize that might be a stretch..)

Must have:
Network Functionality (aka built-in NIC) gigabit maybe?
Duplex Printing functionality
Faster ability to print (right now I average waiting 3-5 min for printer to receive jobs and begin printing...) If the job is larger it takes sometimes 20 min. :/

I still love her, I just think its high time for an upgrade, I'd like to stick with HP if possible as I like the brand...

This is for home use, I don't need color, toner is great!

One nice thing about the Brother 2xxx series - they'll all work on a network with each others' drivers. (The HL-2060 driver included with WinXP SP2 works fine with either the 2070N or the 2140, no need to download a new one.)

The only annoying thing is that they're NOT Postscript-compatibe printers.

thanks for the info, I will definitely check it out. :) Any average details in relation to cost of the toner through the web? Is it easy to find... I think last time I bought toner for my little guy I would be replacing it came to about $60. Once I run out of toner completely I might just jump on buying this guy or perhaps buy it if I can come across a deal and simply wait for mine to run out of toner.

EDIT: are the errors I am most likely experiencing with PDF's not printing correctly (intermittent) possibly due to PostScripting? the jobs successfully get sent to the printer but upon the printout its just a bunch of errors... I would like to just be able to print without abandonment and have it sent directly to the printer and come out without waiting forever.....
