I really have no idea what to get. I'm shopping around for something to expand/replace the storage for our imaging system which is currently around 500GB and growing.
The current setup is a Dell Poweredge 2950 w\ 3x73GB ( Boot ) and 3x300GB 15k SAS drives in raid5.
We're thinking of going NAS instead of replacing the 300GB drives w\ larger drives. There seem to be so many things out there.
Am open to SATA or SAS but really have no idea what I should be looking for out of all the devices available. Probably looking at 1.5-2TB total size. Would need to have good io rates as 30 people will be opening files from it throughout a normal day.
