Hi there,
I'm in the market for a digi cam and I want a GOOD one. 4.1MP is nice quality right? Is there also a good mirror reflex digi cam and if yes, are they expensive? I want AT LEAST 3MP, everything below that is a no-no for me. 4 or 5MP would be nice.

Share your experiences and I will thank you :)

What's your budget?

Here's a list of 3MP and higher digicams which have zoom and are currently manufactured.

You'll get the best price if you find a digicam which OfficeMax.com or Dell.com carries, why? Because they have coupons.

The only digicam in that category I have experience with is the Olympus E10. It is SLR-like, but has a fixed lens. Focal range is from roughly 35mm to 140mm, with add on converters for wider and longer views. I've had good expereince with it, and I've posted several shots form it on here in the past.

My Budget is about 1800 CHF, that's about 1200$ :) But I think I have to buy the Camera in Switzerland, not a good idea to buy it in America when I live in Switzerland. :(

USD 1,200 is a lot of money I'm sure that one of these digicams will meet or exceed your needs just fine.

I have a G2 and love it...and the G3 should be even better.

accessories...hmm...I don't have anything that didn't come with it, except a carrying bag and more compactflash (a 256 meg card can hold about 128 images at the largest/best jpeg setting).

you can get a 58mm lens adaptor which will allow a better wide angle, zoom, or macro lens to be used

also, since it has a hotshoe connector, you can get a more powerful flash (Canon 220EX, 380EX, 420EX or 550EX automatic speedlights).

the battery lasts soooo long, I haven't ever needed another one...

oh, a tripod is nice...especially with the remote control for family pictures...
