Padded laptop backpacks from Targus are alot more convenient if you'll be carrying them for any extended amount of time.

I like this one. I carried the 15-inch version for a couple of years, and I got the 17-incher for my 17-inch widescreen.

It's not light, but it's got lots of space, it's comfortable to carry, it's got a tough shell and it's well padded, and it's good for traveling (as long as you don't mind the weight).

It's like $48 (shipped free) at Buy.com.

I like Kensington's Contour series, but it depends what needs you have out of the bag.

I despise paying high dollar for a bag, so I wouldn't put $200 into something like that unless it fvcked & sucked me.

What do you think of the Roadwired Skooba sleeve for 12" laptop?

I need a small sleeve which will fit my 8 cell battery, notebook wireless mouse and AC adapter.

I have a Samsonite I got from Fry's for like $45-50 to tote around my 15" powerbook. Works just fine + very sturdy for getting slung around through airports and such.

To fit all that, it looks like that little puppy would do it. For $35 too, what a steal

Heck, I got an Icon bag at wally world for $20.
Works great for me. I'm pretty rough on my old laptops, and I've yet to damage one in over 3 years of using this cheap bag.
Also, it has a lot of neat, perfectly sized, velcroed storage pockets, just the right sizes for spare hard drives, PCMIA cards, CDRoms, you name it!
