I have three computers - that I would like to share a keyboard/mouse with and possibly video (the ability to rotate the video through monitors). Two of the computers cannot have third-party software installed on them... Wondering what others would recommend.

Thanks in advance.

I have one of these at home but only the 2 port version. It is good with DVI and usb mouse/keyboards.

We also use them at work. They work pretty well. They also have no Audio versions which are cheaper.

Depends on if you want/need DVI or not. I have had pretty good luck though with the Aten and mouse compatibility. My Logitec mx550 works with it and all of the buttons work. Usually the KVMs just simulate a generic 3 button mouse..which is fine if you don't care.

I have used Lynksys in the past before moving to DVI. There are a lot more options for D-sub connections and ps2 mouse/keyboard.

I would make sure you look at whatever compatibility lists though for KVMs. It isn't uncommon that a particular mouse or keyboard don't play nice with one or the other.
