i just bought mechwarrior 4 and i'm not found of the control with keyboard or keyboard and mouse. i don't think i need or would want one of those 2 part flight sim controlers and i don't need force feedback but if it comes with it thats not a problem. and i'll be running it under win2k.

recommendations on sticks and personal experience with that game or that OS would be very helpful. thanks

ok i went around to some of the main joystic makers and checked some things out. first i found a thrustmaster fox 2 pro for only 29.99. it seems like a good one and the buttons are placed well but there's just no enough of them. mechwarrior uses alot of frigin buttons. the only othe one i found was the sidewinder precision 2. but it's $10 more and only has one more button. i checked out the saitek ones but i didn't like the button placement and there were still to few of them.

i would like to hear from other mechwarrior players on how they set up there controls.

The best way to choose a joystick is to go to the store and try them out first, since each hand is different, then you can do some web price comparisons. Last time I went to BB, there were at least 8 joysticks out for demo purposes.
