Recommend a good wireless router, My netgear WGT624V3 has issues

Seems like a poor built router. A lot of connection issues, and after reading their forums, seems I am not alone.
Any suggestions to a good/reliable router?
 
the buffalo WHR-HP-G54 is a forum favorite...supports third party firmware if extended capabilities are required.
 
iv used both linksys and dlink. also used a linksys with 3rd party firmware. i prefer linksys, though for no real factual reason, they work well and only cost 45 bucks.
