I currently am running a 120gb OCZ Agility in my HD cage via rubber band suspension.

I have 2 dedicated 2.5" SSD mounts but I really don't like the location of them due to my cable management setup.

What's a good 3.5" mount for a SSD?

Thanks!

Are you kidding? You're asking for recommendations on a $0.10 piece of steel with a very, very simple job to perform. Just search for one and buy it. Would you like me to hold your hand while you cross the street?

Can you post pictures of this? I have a SSD to mount, $.10 pieces of steel are too expensive for me, and this sounds entertaining.

Thanks!

Doing a quick search through the HDD accessories section on Newegg reveals a few choices, but none with glowing reviews. Apparently no one can get the holes to line up properly on most of these. This one might work out for you though.

For such and expensive drive I cannot believe that the manufacturers would not supply mounting brackets to fit all cases. Rubber bands? Are you fu...ing kidding me?

No I am not kidding, read the post again if you can't understand it.

Thanks for responding and bringing absolutely no value to this forum, let alone this thread.

Yeah I wish OCZ would have been more accomadating. I do have two 2.5" mounts in my case that are a nice touch. My case is a THermaltake ELement G.

I just do not like routing the the power and sata cable to it. Kind of throws off the feng shui of the entire case.

Since an SSD doesn't rotate or move an arm, it's not likely to need much to secure it, no vibrations to try and prevent either nor any requirement on mounting orientation.

Point is, the uber-cheap way if you plan ahead is to just drill some corresponding holes in your case bay with a drill, on the near side of the bay. Far side of drive need not be secured, with a couple of tight screws on one side it's not going anywhere.

Option #2, drill those 2 holes anywhere you want, floor of case, front wall, rear, no need to take up a whole big drive bay just to mount a 2.5" SSD.
