i want to find out the power usage of my 4 folding rigs w/8 gpu.
not sure what to look for in a meter.
any help or experiences to steer me in picking one would be appreciated.
 
i do not know; but i would assume that either General hardware or better yet, Power Supplies forum would be more suited to help you.
 
They're not really complicated devices. Any of them from any hardware store should provide your basic info. I bought some no name brand at a CAL Ranch store for $20 and it has served me quite well.

Many of your UPS's come with monitoring software that provides this info, too, if you already have one or have been thinking of getting one.
 
I will say, for the record, I fried a Kill-a-watt. Not sure if it was the temperature or the constant draw but it flat out burned out.
