Upgrading soon. Planning on overclocking to around 3.2ghz or so. Havnt decided on mobo or cpu yet but.... What are good C2D heatsinks these days?

I currently have a HR-01 and was sorta thinking of just using that. Only problem is I have to purchase the dumb $7.00 bolt through LGA775 kit from thermalright to mount it if I go that way. I was thinking, maybe that $7.00 is better off put toward a new heatsink?

Any recommendations? I was thinking of the Ultra 120.

I've got a Scythe Infinity, and love it. It's just so big and shiny.

Read the anandtech CPU cooler reviews of late. Tuniq Tower is the one to get right now. Thermalright 120 Extreme if available, but it is still not out. If you want the extreme performance, simply replacing the fan in the Tuniq would give you more then the regular Thermalright 120, but even without replacing the fan, it is an amazing cooler.

Alright thx. Yeah I was considering the ultra 90, it is on sale, but the thing I hate is having to use a 90mm fan. I guess I could prolly fit a 120mm fan on it maybe. I may go with Tuniq tower.

I'm holding out for Thermaltake Ultra 120 Extreme. Hopefully it'll be out when the April 22 price cuts come around?

Gotta agree... :)

I was running orthos on my P4EE, a couple of nights ago, pushing 4g on air (3.925G).

The nb smelled (and felt) like a hot iron -- dittos for the mosfets -- killed my Minuteman UPS (popped a 3A/250V slowblow fuse on the AC input), but...

My CPU never went over 50C, thanks to the Tuniq Tower 120! :D

Truely, I don't know WHY Tuniqs work so good, but they do!

Anyway, that's STILL my recommendation...

"Thermalright Ultima-92"??? I can't find that anywhere. Are you sure you don't mean "Thermalright Ultra-90"?

Why not just get an Ultra 120 and be done with it? Do you really need that potent of a CPU cooler?

I got a Ninja a while back when it was on a seriously good sale. Payed 30 bucks with shipping and I still wish I had gotten the Tunic.

Ninja works better in a push, pull config with 2 fans now but still not as good a a tunic or a 120
