Recommend a good deal on a decent LCD 46" TV?

I want to keep the price cheap but don't want to sacrifice reliability. Any hidden gems out there this holiday season?

Also, what's the deal with contrast ratio? I've seen anywhere from 4500:1 to 20000:1

I opted for Best Buy's Dynex brand in a 32" LCD and am perfectly happy with it. In the store, it looked as good (if not better) than both Sony and Samsung, and was nearly $100 less. Don't know if it will hold up over time, but I saved cash when I needed to. As for contrast ratio, this article may be of some use (although I cannot attest to its accuracy): http://lcdtvbuyingguide.com/lcdtv/lcd-tv-contrast-ratio.html

I just picked up a 46" LED Samsung 3D for $960 at Best Buy (came with 2 3D glasses too).

3 year 0% interest (pay in full before 3 years though!!)

Thanks for the recommendations. Found a Sony KDL-46EX400 marked down at a B&M Walmart today for $488 plus tax. It's only 60Hz, but it will do fine. Merry Christmas to me.
