For use with a SB Audigy 2 ZS sound card. I did a search, but didn't find anything conclusive, so your suggestions, any and all of them, are greatly valued.

It will be for gaming, music listening, voice chatting, etc., and wearing for long periods of time. So comfort, sound quality, and mic quality, probably in that order, are my priorities. Up to and around 100$ is fine, though if it can be had for less, that's fantabulous! Or if a few bucks over would get me better, that's okay too.

Audio-Technica ATH-A500, hands down. No contest. Go to head-fi.org/forums if you would like to discuss it further. The MDR-V6 sucks, also, go to head-fi if you would like to discuss that. You can pick up a zalman clip on mic for about $6.

Medusa 5.1 Surround Sound

I got a pair of these and they are very nice. Tom's Hardware has a review on them and they come out to be some of the best in the roundup he did.

Othersites came to the same conclusion as well.

BF2 amazes me . . . I also use them on a Audigy 2 . .

I like the seperate amp for them (but may just cause more clutter) . . mine just sits on top of my PC. The cord is VERY long, which some may not like, but I actually find it nice, I can move around my whole room and not get yanked back. :p

The MDR-V6 sucks? I guess that explains the rave reviews it gets.

Before you bought the Medusa did you compare it to anything LTB offers, or looked at various reviews?

I've gone through quite a few headphones/headsets in the past few months, and I think I'm ready to finally settle on a pair... I haven't really used these for a very extended pair of time, but I've had no ear pains in the time I have used them (as opposed to when I had a few other pairs). The adjustable headstrap that contours exactly do your head works really well.

Anyways, its the Icemat Audio Siberia's -- you can find them in white or black. Here they are in white.

I second that. I spent a lot of money several expensive headsets both with and with out boom mics (lapel mic). Nothing can beat Plantronics with out spending $300+ on an Set of Ultrasone headphones.

With that mind, I recomend Plantrinics .Audio 360 at a cost of less than $50 they sound better than sets costing much more. If you want to save some cash you can find last years model the .AUDIO 100 for 26.25 on Provantage.com
