seriously guys, the last thread was bullshlt. reccomend a true non violent video game.

im thinking of a racing sim, nascar, or collin mcrae (out for pc right?)

or like Risk

now just remember what we all learned last time, that jumping to conclusions is not good.

Sim/Sims 2 were shot down, and it cant require internet access.

how non-violent does it need to be?
the age of empires/age of mythology games appeal to my wife/daughters, the fighting isn't really very real

you should also mention that No Sim, Sim 2 games and no games that need access to internet like City of Heroes.

edit: I liked the You Don't Know Jack trivia games back in college, but that might be old school.

Get her a Dreamcast. Sonic, all the 2d fighting games, a lot of RPGs, fun fun fun. Plus you can get one for like 20-30 bucks and the games are cheap.

I would edit the post to say something like "17y.o. mentally challeneged daughter" or something.

Seriously, that would have completely prevented the previous thread..

Again, I appologize for helping to stir the other thread up.. But it goes to show you how important communication is, even on the internet. He didn't tell us, we didn't know.. it's as simple as that.

Like I recommended in the other post, I think Sid Meier's Pirates! is the best option. Going to stick with that. :p

It's a really fun game, but if he requires no violence then the whole sword fighting thing, with the guns, swords, wenches, and wooing the people's daughters isn't going to fly.

The Journeyman Trilogy (there are 3 games) is an oldie but goodie. A little like Myst but with a better storyline IMO, especially for history buffs.

The Monkey Island series - kind of cartoony but good puzzle solving

The Longest Journey was mentioned - I agree with that.

I'd have to know more about her personality, but I would recommend World of Warcraft. It is a time soaker and she could make some friends there. Its much less harsh on the senses than the real world for someone with these kinds of problems.
