recommend a good, budget VPN?

Are there any good VPNs for people on a budget out there? I'm completely new to this and would really appreciate the help. Cheers.

Ideally nothing more than $20 a year if that's even possible. Free is best.

What do you mean by "VPN"? Are you trying to connect to your home network remotely, or are you looking for some sort of tunneling service for anonymity/privacy reasons? VPN is just a connection technology, we'd need to know what you're trying to accomplish with a VPN to be able to recommend something.
 
Hide my ass - good working, stable software and not really expensive (6-12 a month). Oh I just read less than 20 bugs a YEAR. Thas is going to be a hard. Maybe a free browser plugin (dotvpn) could be sufficient for your needs.

Though I agree we would need some more specifics.
 
We use Private Internet Access. Works on 5 devices simultaneously, works out to $3/mo. They claim not to log IP data or track users and have portals all over the globe. So far, so great.

that's what I use since 2 years. never got any issues or complaints, they really do keep no logs
