Recommend a good 5.8 Ghz Expandable phone system under 100 bucks?

Saw a Uniden at Home Depot yesterday that came with an extra phone for less than 90. I also saw a Vtech model in Sams that came with an extra phone for under 100.

I've got a Vtech 2.4 non-expandable now that has pretty crappy speakers so you practically have to shove the phone in your ear before you can hear it.

Uniden model

I would try to find the older classic 900 mhz phones with DSS. They are still around new, hard to find except online, and tons of refurbs.
I dont know why they stopped making them as they kick 2.4 and 5.8 ghz ass!!!!
Govt eavesdropping perhaps:Q 😉

It's a tad over your price range, but it's a great deal IMO.

I just got the Uniden Tru8860-2 for $113 shipped @ Amazon for use with the Vonage service I just signed up for. I was actually going with the Tru-8860-2 for $109 @ Amazon, but the only ~$4 price difference for the better model seemed like a better deal.

I didn't need any sort of answering system, so if you do, disregard those models.

🙂

Looks nice, very tempting. Thanks

NP. I'll have it sometime this week, so I'll let you know how it works out. I did have one question when I checked out the features though...

WhoTF would ever need 10 handsets?!?!

😉😀

The one I almost got could only have a maximum of 2 phones. How is 2 phones considered expandable and who would only use 2 handsets? 🙂

Thanks

Think it was 80ish at Home Depot. Anyone ever use this one before?

Just an FYI. The 5XXX series of 5.8 Ghz phones are actually hybrid 900mhz/5.8Ghz, and they are analog even though they say 5.8Ghz.
