Recommend a Golf Magazzine - For my pa

My Dad is really into golf. I am the exact opposite. Not my cup of tea, but I would like to get a golf magazine subscription for him. He hasn't really kept up with it over the years so could use a nice magazine that has 'how-to's,' new gear, and courses, etc. Aimed at intermediate level.

Can anyone think of a good mag for all of this.
 
I like Golf World. As a weekly it's a hell of a lot more timely than the monthly magazines. But that focuses a lot more on tour info and news and less on instruction, travel, courses and gear. You want either Golf Magazine or Golf Digest, both have the sort of articles that you're looking for. Of the two I prefer Golf Digest. The best thing about Golf Magazine is David Feherty's column and you can read that online.

You should be able to find deals on GD for something like $5 a year and maybe $14 or so for 3 years.
