Recommend a Gigabit switch? None or silent fan, plugs in the back.

Note sure this exists anymore. I want an 8-port gigabit switch with the plugs in the back (front with LEDs).

I also like flat, stackable metal case, ideally 1/2 19" 1HE format.

The Linksys sd2008 is pretty much exactly what I need, except reviews say it has a loud fan which is a strict no-no for me.

Any other recommendations?

Dell 2708 = 8 port gigabit, no fans, = $80

*edit... Oops sorry when you said plugs in the back I thought you just meant the power plug in the back. After a reread i think you wanted the rj-45 jacks back there too right?

Go to newegg put in your specs (8 port switch, gigabit), and see what ones they have. Then check out each one to see if it meets your requirements. Normally you should be able to tell fan existance and plug position etc from the pics they have.

Well, on newegg I selected the sd2008 and it is clearly not visible that it has a fan, much less a loud one.

Might go with the Dell one, I rather have no fan than the RJ45 in the back. There doesn't seem to be a coupon in effect to bring down its price, it's at $129 + 5% tax for me.
