recommend a DVD to show off my new upconverting player

hi all,

i just hooked up my new Sony DVPNS75H upconverting player and i'm looking for a good dvd to show it off. i have it attached to a 32" westy 720p lcd, so my display isn't super big or high-res but it should still make a difference.

what dvds are generally recognized as having the best quality transfers and will look the best on my new system? note that i care more about picture quality than sound for this scenario, since i haven't received my speakers yet. also it doesn't need to be a great movie, just something visually impressive. but of course having the whole package in one dvd would be ideal.

so what's your favorite?

Probably one of the new Star Wars, since they were filmed in digital IIRC.

hmm, great rec. i forgot about this movie.

i own and can't wait to try the matrix, but my girlfriend's dad is borrowing *all* our dvd's right now. :-S

Both are fairly dated transfers.

I would recommend any DVD from this list of reference transfers.

little known but highly recommended. Worth it for the eye candy/wow factor. I usually put this on the tv and the ipod on the stereo when I have people over. Google around and you might be able to find it cheaper.
