recommend a digital camera for my mom

My mom currently has an Olympus D460 Zoom. She wants to upgrade to something in the price range of $200 - $400 for a cruise to Alaska. The feature she is most interested in besides quality is zoom level.

Regardless, I do not have much experience in this subject so I cannot advise her myself.
 
you can get an Olympus C720 for less then 400 they have a 8x optical zoom
3mp. I have one they are nice
 
canon s400. only 3x zoom, but it's tiny and she can take it anywhere - won't interfere w/ her other activities 😛
 
Thanks for the advice. I am passing it along to her. I expect she will go with the Olympus since she would like to keep the same software for transferring pictures.
